What is this?
Stand-Up India helps SC/ST and women entrepreneurs get bank loans to start a new business for the first time.
Objectives
- Facilitate bank loans between ₹10 lakh and ₹1 crore to at least one SC/ST entrepreneur and at least one woman entrepreneur per bank branch, for a greenfield enterprise in manufacturing, services, trading, or agri-allied activity.
Who can apply?
- Applicant must be from the SC/ST category or a woman, above 18 years of age.
- Finance is provided only for greenfield (new) enterprises.
What do you get?
- Composite loan (term loan + working capital) above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹1 crore.
- Repayable over 7 years, with a maximum moratorium of 18 months.
How to apply
- Apply through the lead/participating bank branch for the composite loan.
- Note: per the source playbook, the scheme was "launched 05.04.2016 and was valid/operational till March 2025" — confirm with your bank or the Department of Financial Services whether it has since been extended before relying on it.
