What is this?
PMMY helps small businesses and entrepreneurs get collateral-free loans to start, run, or expand income-generating activities.
Objectives
- MUDRA is a refinancing institution providing loans of up to ₹20 lakh to micro/small business entities engaged in trading, manufacturing, services, or agriculture-allied activities.
Who can apply?
- Individuals, proprietary firms, partnership firms, private/public companies, or any other legal form running an eligible micro-enterprise.
What do you get?
- Term loan / overdraft / working capital / composite loan for asset acquisition.
- Shishu loan: up to ₹50,000.
- Kishor loan: ₹50,000 to ₹5 lakh.
- Tarun loan: ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh.
- Tarun Plus loan: ₹10 lakh to ₹20 lakh (for eligible repeat/graduated borrowers).
How to apply
- Available at all bank branches, plus NBFCs/MFIs financing micro-enterprises.
- Can also be applied for via the Jan Samarth Business Loan Portal or the Udyamimitra portal.
